Not every campground is a destination in itself—sometimes it’s simply the perfect place to park for a couple of nights while you explore the surrounding area. That was the case with Currahee RV Park & Campground in Toccoa, Georgia. We stayed here for two nights while visiting the nearby military museum and taking a scenic drive over to Helen, Georgia. This is a simple, no-frills campground without resort-style amenities, operating on an honor-system, cash-only basis with no on-site attendant. We recently stayed at Hills Landing RV Park and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. This is a beautiful campground with something tooffer every type of camper. The park features waterfront sites, water-view sites, and sites located in the older section of thecampground, giving guests several options depending on their preferences and budget. One of our favorite surprises was the camp store. Not only does it have the essentials you might need during yourstay, but it also serves some of the best ice cream we’ve had in a campground store.
