WASHINGTON, D.C.

For us, visiting Washington, D.C. in 2026 was more than just another stop on our RV journey—it was the fulfillment of a trip that had been waiting nearly a decade to happen.

Back in 2016, during our first full-time RV adventure, Washington, D.C. was on our travel plans. Life had other ideas, and our journey came to an unexpected end before we ever made it there. When we returned to full-time RVing in 2026, one of our goals was to finally visit the places we had missed the first time around, and Washington, D.C. was at the top of that list.

Making the trip during America's 250th celebration made the experience even more meaningful. From standing before the nation's most iconic monuments to walking through history at every turn, this was a destination that exceeded every expectation.

Our Washington, D.C. adventure is told in four parts. Follow along by clicking Next at the end of each page as we share the campgrounds, the memorials, the museums, and the unforgettable moments that made this one of the most memorable stops of our journey.
