Fort Eustis is a basic military campground that could benefit from some general maintenance, particularly around the grounds and site leveling. While the staff was friendly, we weren't given much guidance when parking and were simply told to "decide which way is better for you." At just $30 per night, however, we felt the campground offered fair value for an overnight or short stay.

One of the highlights of our stay was taking a drive toward Virginia Beach across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Although we decided not to continue after seeing the toll for our dually truck, the trip itself was memorable—from driving through the underwater tunnels to emerging back onto the bridge with sweeping views of the bay, massive cargo ships, and even a solitary house sitting in the middle of the water.

One thing to be aware of is that the pull-through sites are a little different than most campgrounds. The water hookup is located on one side of the site, while the sewer and electric are on the opposite side, so you'll want to think about which direction you pull in before setting up. That's why we were told to choose whichever way worked best for our RV.
